Payment methods

Use Link, or enter a card through the CLI’s protected prompt.

When the connection reports checkout-ready, add payment_provider: "link" to the request.

Card entry

Omit payment_provider to enter a card later. When required_input.type is payment_card, the CLI asks for number, expiry, and CVC without echoing the values.

For an existing API or MCP checkout, use a trusted SDK/API payment interface. Starting checkout run creates another checkout.

Payment approval

Card entry does not approve payment. Review the exact amount at approval_required. Only the dedicated payment-approval operation can approve or decline it.

How it works
  1. Connect Link once for the active Shopstack profile through the trusted browser flow.
  2. Select Link for a checkout. Shopstack pins that user’s active encrypted connection.
  3. When the exact total and payment form are ready, Link issues a merchant-and-amount-bound one-time card.
  4. Shopstack enters the card, then waits for separate final payment approval before placing the order.
